  • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes when necessary.
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Collaborate with Financial Analyst and/or Controller in review of financials, Board of Director reports, and ad hoc requests.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and an ability to distill complex policy into accessible and digestible language and products

The Seminar Network seeks a Managing Director, Member Relations to drive strategic growth and fundraising outcomes of its major gifts team.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to significantly expand the Seminar Network’s major gifts portfolio and resulting fundraising outcomes to support the growth of allied organizations. These organizations are focused on higher education, K-12 innovation and reform, revitalizing communities and restoring faith in local solutions, Principled EntrepreneurshipTM, public policy reform, and grassroots advocacy and education.
  • Oversee a team of (initially) six major gift officers, including establishing goals and metrics, providing fundraising coaching, and driving professional development. Make recommendations and drive the growth of the team based on identified opportunities.
  • Based on experience and existing relationships, cultivate a portfolio of major gift donors utilizing “Moves Management.
  • Drive continued adoption of Salesforce as the team’s CRM platform, using it to generate actionable reports on the fundraising pipeline and major gift officer performance.
  • Coordinate with the development team, allied organizations, and senior leadership to identify and capitalize on opportunities to build a robust, broad-base of donor support, particularly in underrepresented regions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of work experience required.
  • 12+ years’ experience in a professional environment required.
  • Extensive experience in major gift fundraising working directly with donors required; familiarity with Moves Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, including building an entrepreneurial team culture, setting goals and metrics, developing employees, and driving strategic growth.
  • A passion and commitment to free-market principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Track record of humility, integrity, respect, and an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude.

Director of Member Relations

The Development team at Freedom Partners seeks a Director of Member Relations to join its team. The Director of Member Relations will work within a fast-moving team to build and strengthen relationships with major philanthropic partners.  Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of a strategic approach to member engagement from a portfolio of accounts
  • Collaborate and partner with network groups to create member development plans to increase engagement that supports long-term strategic network objectives
  • Discover, build, cultivate, and grow long-term relationships with current and prospective members utilizing “Moves Management.” techniques
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing individual member programs
  • Coordinate with development team staff, executives and other internal resources to plan personal interactions with members, including face-to-face meetings and event participation.
  • Create and participate in a wide-variety of member meetings, this includes traveling nationally.
  • Communicate regularly with senior leadership and the development team on long-term focus strategies
  • Utilize, monitor and deploy resources wisely to achieve development goals for a portfolio of current and prospective major supporters

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of work experience required
  • 7+ years’ experience in a professional environment is required
  • Past experience in major gift fundraising (working with high value donor dollars) and a familiarity with concepts of Moves Management is preferred
  • A passion and commitment to free-market principles
  • Ability to prioritize, and advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office
  • Demonstrated evidence of leadership ability or entrepreneurial behavior
  • Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude
